SaferDrop transfers are end-to-end encrypted and peer-to-peer — we never see file contents. If you believe a SaferDrop link was used to harm you, contact us and we will review the sender account.

Include in your email

  • The session ID — the part before the # (never include the part after it)
  • A description of the issue

Phishing

Links used to impersonate a trusted party and deliver malicious files.

Harassment

Unsolicited or threatening content sent to a recipient without consent.

Malware distribution

Files designed to compromise or damage the recipient's device.

Policy violations

Any use that breaches our Acceptable Use Policy.

We cannot read transferred files. Encryption keys are generated locally in the sender's browser and never sent to our servers. We can suspend the sending account and revoke access. Acceptable Use Policy →
